GrammarJLPT N5
right?
Particle

Definitions

  1. 1. right?
  2. 2. isn't it?
This sentence-ending particle is used in casual masculine speech to add emphasis or to make a soft command or prohibition. When used to prohibit, it follows the dictionary form of a verb to mean "don't do ~." It can also be found within sentences to link an adjectival noun to a noun it modifies, similar to the role of "な" in な-adjectives.
